 First Trail is 1km, Second trail is .75km The Wetlands have become very popular with bird watchers and wildlife observers in resent years. We can brag about some of the amazing birds that have stopped by for days or weeks at a time. Canadian geese live and breed here each year.We had a pair of otter raise there young. A beaver was photographed.Possible sighting and photo of a painted turtle. Watch where you walk during snapping turtle egg laying season and hatching time. Great Blue Heron, Little Green Heron, Great Egret,Glossy Ibis, Bittern, Red-wing black birds, Killdeer,Ring necked ducks breeding pair, Mallards,bob-a-links, a variety of sparrows, finches and warblers. Look up- Red tailed Hawk,Bald Eagle, Osprey, Tree swallows galore! I have seen barn swallows as well.
